Women’s Tennis Takes Down the Hampton Pirates 7-0

Annapolis, M.D. – Temple women's tennis (11-3) picked up the victory over the Hampton Pirates (5-7) by a final score of 7-0 in the second game of the road trip for the Owls.

NOTES:

For the first time since March 15, No. 5 Jamie Wei and Maiko Uchijima were paired together in the first position for the Owls.
Sena Takebe and Thamara Frasser Kawaratani finished from the third position first, followed by Veronika Kulhava and Evie Wei in the second to earn the doubles point and give Temple the early lead.
Kawaratani led the Owls from the first position of singles play battling against Hampton's Mio Kozaki in three sets. Kozaki won the first set 6-3 but Kawaratani came back to win the final two to claim the point.
After missing the Princeton match, Jamie Wei returned to the lineup winning in both appearances from the first position of doubles and the second position of singles.
