Men's Crew Ends Scrimmage Schedule With Productive Showing

PRINCETON - 20th ranked Temple Men's Crew showed fight in their scrimmage vs #16 Drexel, #22 Georgetown, and #9 Princeton Saturday at Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J.Â

"We had some very mixed results. This was our first real live-fire race and we know what we have to do going forward as we begin the season next week." said Head Coach Brian Perkins.Â
RACE RESULTSÂ
First Varsity EightÂ
>The Owls finished third with a time of 6:01.0 and defeated Georgetown who finished fourth.Â
> Princeton won the race with a time of 5:48.6
Second Varsity EightÂ
>Temple finished fourth with a time of 6:19.9
>Princeton won the race followed by Georgetown in second and Drexel in third.Â
Third Varsity EightÂ
>Temple finished second behind Princeton and Beat Drexel with a final time of 6:19.0
Freshman EightÂ
>The Owls finished second with a time of 6:20.3.Â
>Temple beat out Drexel by three seconds and Georgetown by 13 seconds.Â
NEXT RACE
The Owls will travel west to California to face Santa Clara on Saturday, and Stanford on Sunday to open their Spring Season.Â
