Damian Dunn Named Third Team All-Conference

FORTH WORTH, Texas – Redshirt sophomore guard Damian Dunn was named American Athletic Conference Third Team All-Conference. The AAC All-Conference teams were selected by a vote of the conference's coaches.
Dunn ranks second on Temple in scoring (15.4 ppg/11th AAC), and free throw percentage (146-179, .816/t9h) while topping the Owls in three-point percentage (47-130, .362/9th AAC). He also ranks second in assists (3.1 rpg). The Kinston. N.C. native has scored in double figures in 22 games, topping 20 points eight times. He scored a career-high 38 points, the most by an Owls since 2004 and tied for the ninth best point total by a Temple player in school history, against Vanderbilt. He also tallied 34 points, including the 1000th point of his career, at Cincinnati.
One of the top Temple players at getting to the free throw line, Dunn tied Lynn Greer's school record in the season opener by making all 18 of his free throw attempts against Wagner in a 29-point effort. His 146 free throws made rank second in the AAC and is tied for 33rd in the NCAA this season.
Fifth-seed Temple (16-15) plays fourth-seed Cincinnati (20-11) in the 2023 American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship Quarterfinal Round on Friday at 3 p.m. ET (ESPN2/1210 AM WPHT) at Dickies Arena.
