Golf Travels to State College for Rutherford Intercollegiate

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Temple Men's Golf team travels to State College, Pa for the Rutherford Intercollegiate this weekend (April 15-16). The 12-team event is being held at the Penn State Blue Course, which is a par-71, 7,171-yard course. The tournament consists of 54 holes over a two-day period.
Previewing the Owls
> Junior Graham Chase shot a one-over 214 last weekend in Princeton. Chase finished in a tie for 25th place.
> Sophomore Ethan Whitney finished one shot behind Chase, posting a two-over 215 for the tournament. Whitney finished in 30th place.
> Senior Conor McGrath shot a three-over 216 last weekend. McGrath ended in a tie for 31st place. McGrath led the Owls with 14 birdies.
> Sophomores Jake Naese and Joey Morganti re-enter the lineup for Temple. Naese has posted a 76.07 stroke average in 14 rounds this year, while Morganti has posted a 76.25 stroke average in 20 rounds.
> Sophomore Gregory Hanna makes his spring season debut, competing as an individual. Hanna last competed in the fall at the Temple/Cornell Invite, shooting consecutive two-over 72's to finish tied for 17th overall competing for the Temple B-Team.

> Penn State will host the Rutherford Intercollegiate. Also competing is Appalachian State, Cal Baptist, Central Michigan, Connecticut, Delaware, George Mason, Georgetown, Rhode Island, Towson, and Valparaiso.
