Green & Nicholson Earn Podium Finishes at the Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA – Despite difficult weather conditions including near constant rain, Temple Track & Field had a very strong showing on the first two days of the Penn Relays. The Owls competed in six events over the first two days and will return for four events tomorrow.

Laura Nicholson was the only Owl who ran on Thursday. The all-conference runner had a very strong showing, recording the 3^rd fastest outdoor 1500m time (4:17.03) in program history. She finished bronze in the event.
The 4x100m team consisting of Chelby Elam, Chidumga Nkulume, Lauren Greig, and Madison Trout ran a time of 47.12 to earn 5^th place overall in the heats in a field of 25. The squad advanced to the final which will take place tomorrow at 4:05.
Amira Green came in 2^nd in the high jump with a mark of 1.64m (5-4 ½ ft).
The 4x400m team of Kwanda Knight, Marrisa White, Nkulume, and Nicholson clocked a time of 3:51.87 to qualify for the final tomorrow at 5:25.

UP NEXT
> Temple returns to Franklin Field one more time tomorrow for the final day of events. Temple will begin competing at 2:30 with the pole vault and triple jump.
