Golf’s Whitney Tied for Fourth After Day One of the Temple Invitational

The Cherry squad is in third-place after Saturday's round
PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. – After Saturday's first round of the Temple Invitational at the 1912 Club, junior Ethan Whitney is tied for fourth place overall. Whitney ended his day leading one of two Owls' squads with a one-under 69. The Cherry team sits in third place after an eight-over 288 on the first day.

- Whitney (Cherry) had five birdies on the day, including back-to-backs on 8-9 and 12-13.
- Transfer Aidan Emmerich (Cherry) follows right behind Whitney, tied for sixth place as he shot even after the first round of play with a 70.
- Senior Graham Chase (Cherry) is tied for 18th after round one as he shot a three-over 73. Chase shot par on 13 holes, including four in a row on holes 10-13.
- Fellow transfer Michael Walsh (Cherry) shot a six-over 76 with two birdies and 10 pars. On the back nine, Walsh shot par on holes 11-15 and heads into Sunday tied for 42.
- Temple's White squad shot a 19-over 299 on the day.
- Temple's White Team will tee off for its final round on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. ET. The Cherry Team will begin teeing off at 10:30 a.m. ET.
