Men’s Tennis Ready To Begin Play At AAC Individual Championships

HOUSTON - This week, Oct. 24-27, two members of the Temple men's tennis team will compete at the AAC Individual Championships hosted by Rice University at George R. Brown Tennis Center.

In singles action, Martim Marujo and Adam Kresina will represent the Owls. The duo will also team up for doubles competition.

SCOUTING TEMPLE:

The Portugal native Marujo kicked off the fall 2024 season on a high note, teaming up with Kresina to capture the top-flight doubles Crimson Draw in the Saint Joseph's Invitational. Completed the 2023-24 season strong, earning a spot on the AAC All-Academic Team. Played 13 out of 16 dual matches in the No. 2 singles position. He achieved notable doubles success with 3-2.
With a strong 2024 fall season, the Czech Republic native Kresina had teamed up Marujo to win the top-flight doubles Crimson Draw in the Saint Joseph's Invitational with three victories. Earned a spot on the 2023-24 AAC All-Academic Team and led the team in singles as a freshman, notching 9 total wins with a 9-7 record.

UP NEXT
The Owls will return to action on Nov. 1-3, heading to West Philadelphia for Drexel Invitational. Tournament play will begin Friday and close Sunday.
