WHAT ASSISTANT COACH TASIA FORD SAID
"We wanted to look at this competition as preparation for our regular season, a space where we can be competitive but know what we need to go back to practice and work on. First years, Alex (Papapetropoulo) and Jara (Del Cura) came in strong with 3-3 finishes in the first round, while both have never experienced a NAC before since they are international fencers. Eva Ventura also showed her experience with a 3-3 finish after the first round. This was a great day for our first years who competed to know the Temple way. We fight hard, support each other and know we leave it all on the strip until the very end. We are excited for tomorrow where we get another opportunity to refine some of the smaller mistakes that we made today."
