11.13.24 | Men's Basketball
PHILADELPHIA - Temple University head men's basketball coach Adam Fisher announced the signing of two high-level student-athletes to aid agreements on Wednesday. Cam Wallace, a 6-5 wing from Malvern, Pa., and Cam Miles, a 6-3 guard from Orlando, Fla., comprise the top-rated recruiting class in the American Athletic Conference and a Top 50 recruiting class nationally, according to both 247Sports and Rivals.com. Fisher and his coaching staff also put together the top recruiting class in the AAC a season ago.
A local product who plays for Westtown School, Wallace has already eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for his career and closing in on the 2,000-point plateau. A First Team All-Friends League and Second Team All-State selection as a junior, helped lead the Moose to both the Friends Schools League and PAISAA semifinals a season ago.
"We are extremely excited to welcome Cameron Wallace to the Temple Family," Fisher said. "Cam's versatility, basketball IQ and motor will be a major asset to our program. Cam has the ability to score the ball from all three levels and will be able to play multiple positions for us at the guard spot."
"When visiting with Cam at Westtown School, it was clear that he is not only a great player but a great ambassador in his community," commented Fisher. "He comes from a fantastic program at Westtown School and has proven himself against some of the top players in the country. We are happy to welcome Cam and the entire Wallace family -- Marcus, Jennifer, and Peyton --Â to Temple. Go Owls!"
Miles is a post-graduate student at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., where he is off to a fast start in 2024-25. Playing for the No. 11 post grad team in the country, Miles is averaging 26.0 points, 6.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game. Previously, he had played for AZ Compass Prep School in Chandler, Ariz.
"Cam is a huge addition to our program and someone we're very excited is joining the Temple family," Fisher said. "His skillset, work ethic and athleticism stuck out right away to our staff during the recruiting process. Cam has a unique ability to score the basketball in many different ways while also getting his teammates involved."
"He has produced against some of the best players in the country in both high school and AAU, and will continue to do this season at IMG Academy," Fisher continued. "On his visit to Temple, it was great to see Cam interact with our players and staff. His personality and ability to connect with our current team in a short amount of time showed us he would be a great fit for our program. He is also a great role model for his little brother Parrish, Jr. and sister, Skylar. We are happy to welcome Cam, his parents, Leah and Parrish, and the entire Miles family to Temple."
Temple (3-0) looks to continue its hot start to the season on Friday, November 15 with a road trip to Boston College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
