Settle III Named AAC Weekly Honorable Mention

IRVING, Texas - Senior forward Steve Settle III was named American Athletic Conference Weekly Honorable Mention on Monday, after helping the Owls to a 91-71 victory over Buffalo in their non-conference finale on Sunday.
Settle III registered his second double-double of the season against the Bulls, tallying 13 points and 11 rebounds in 31 minutes of action. The 6-10 forward also contributed in other ways, dishing out four assists while adding two steals and a blocked shot.
The Glendarden, Md. native also went 7-for-9 from the free-throw line as Temple pulled away in the second half to improve to 5-0 at home inside the Liacouras Center this season.
The Owls concluded non-league play with an 8-5 record and will look to continue their success at home on Friday, Jan. 3, as they open AAC play against Wichita State (10-3). Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by visiting OwlsTix.com.
