Emmerich is tied for eighth through two rounds

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - On Monday, after two rounds of the Wexford Intercollegiate, the Temple Owls golf team sits in a sixth place tie out of 17 teams as they shot a 20 over par, shooting a 300 and 296.

RECAPPING THE DAY

Through two rounds, Temple is second overall with 115 pars, just two behind Georgia State that has tallied 117.
Of the eight par 5s holes, the Cherry and White have stroked a 5.05 average, good for two-over and fifth overall.
Aidan Emmerich is even and 10th overall on par 4s, averaging 4.00 strokes per hole. The sophomore is tied for eighth overall after the first two rounds, shooting a one-over par, 145.
Junior Ethan Whitney is two-under par on par 5s, averaging 4.75 shots, good for two-under. Notably, the Massachusetts native started the back nine in round one two-under, shooting a 34. Whitney finished the day six-over for a 150.
Both Emmerich and Whitney are tied for 19th overall with six birdies apiece through two rounds
Senior Graham Chase has averaged 2.88 strokes on par 3s, the highest of all TU golfers. After two rounds, the Charlotte, N.C. native is tied for the tournament lead with 29 pars and tied for 22nd overall with a four over, 148.

THE FIELD

USC Aiken is in the team leader through two rounds with a one-under 575, while second-place Georgia State has shot a six-over par, 582.
Individually, Oscar Abrahamsson of Aiken is the leader, shooting a two-under, 142.
There are 16 golfers, including Temple's Aidan Emmerich within four strokes of the lead.
