PHILADELPHIA – A thrilling Saturday evening Owls versus Bison face-off resulted in a fourth victory for Temple women's tennis (4-2) as it defeated Howard University (2-7), 4-3. The Cherry and White clinched the win in singles action. This is the fifth of seven straight home appearances for the Owls.

NOTES:

Sena Takebe and Evie Wei tallied the sole doubles win for Temple, topping Howard's Hall/Butcher, 6-4. This marks the second victory for the tandem this weekend.
In singles action, Wei secured the Owls' victory. Jessie Zheng placed the first point on the board for Temple, defeating Hall, 6-2, 6-4. Maiko Uchijima finished after Zheng, dominating Butcher, 6-4, 6-4. After coming up short to the Bison in the second and third position by Nanere and Takebe, Marianthi Christoforidou tied the score, topping Jean, 7-5, 4-6, 6-3. From the sixth position, Wei defeated Oliver, 6-3, 6-2, leading to Temple's triumph.
