Stanford Named to Big 5 Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA - Zion Stanford of the Temple men's basketball team has been named to the Philadelphia Big 5 Honor Roll for the week of March 4-10.Â
Stanford averaged 13.5 points and 2.5 boards per game in a pair of games this week for the Owls. He scored a career-high 20 points against UAB on Thursday, going 6-for-8 from the floor. He then contributed seven points and three rebounds in a win against UTSA on Sunday. Overall, he shot 60 percent (9-for-15) from the floor during the week.Â
The Owls begin play in the AAC Tournment on Wednesday, March 13, taking on UTSA at 3:00 p.m. EDT.Â
