Golf Set to Play in Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate

AIKEN, S.C.- The Owls will stay in South Carolina as they prepare to compete in the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate on March 4-5. The 15-team tournament is set to be held at the par-70, 6,617-yard, Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, S.C. The club is recognized as the fourth-oldest golf course in the United States. This will be the Owls eighth consecutive year competing in the tournament.Â

- The team is coming off of a top-ten finish in the Wexford Intercollegiate.
- Aidan Emmerich notched his sixth top-20 finish of the season at the Wexford Intercollegiate, shooting a six-over, 222. The sophomore continues to lead the Owls in scoring average with a 72.4.Â
- Senior Graham Chase continued his strong season shooting eight-over in Hilton Head two weeks prior. His scoring average of 72.8 remains a close second behind Emmerich for the team lead.Â
- Juniors Ethan Whitney (74.0) and Michael Walsh (74.4) have competed in all 20 possible rounds so far this season.Â
- Joey Morganti has remained a reliable starter since winning the Big-5 Championship back in October with a scoring average of 75.0 this spring.Â

- Along with tournament host, USC Aiken, the field will include Army, Boise State, Dartmouth, Davidson, East Carolina, Francis Marion, Furman, Gardner-Webb, Maryland, Mercer, Presbyterian College, Samford, and Virginia Tech.Â
