Women's Tennis to Take on Binghamton on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA- Temple women's tennis (7-5) is set to host Binghamton at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 30 at the Hamlin Courts at Penn. This marks the eleventh time the Owls will play the Bearcats, with Temple having won nine out of the past ten matches.
THE OWLS
- The Owls enter the match after falling to Penn and William & Mary.
- The Cherry and White began its string of seven victories by sweeping Siena College and Villanova University, followed by wins against Norfolk State University,Howard University, and FDU.
- Seated at No. 38 in doubles play, Maiko Uchijima and Samantha Nanere have also achieved No. 19 and 20 this season.
- As a team, Temple completed an intense fall season, where it played in the Penn Invitational from Sept. 8-10, the Villanova Invitational from Sept. 15-17, the Cissie Leary Invitational from Sept. 22-24, ITA Regionals from Oct. 6-8, the Princeton Invitational from Oct. 13-15, ITA Super-Regionals from Nov. 1-5, and the doubles pair of Nanere and Uchijima earned an invitation to the ITA National Fall Championships where they achieved the Round of 8. In November, the pair was ranked No. 20 in National Doubles Rankings.
Scouting Binghamton
- The Bearcats sit at a 1-16 record coming into Saturday's match. Binghamton's sole win took place against Merrimack College
- Last season, Binghamton ended its season with a record of 1-22.
