Women’s Track & Field Takes Top Placements at Sam Howell Invite

PRINCETON, N.J. — The Temple Women's Track & Field program competed at the Sam Howell Invite in Princeton, New Jersey on Saturday, March 30.
The Owls totaled 11 top-10 finishes and saw three personal records broken.
How it Happened
> Allyson Metzger set two new personal records, placing in the top six of both her events. She clocked in at 12.40 in the 100 meters to place fifth and finished at 25.13 in the 200 meters to take sixth.
> Jade Pope had another productive meet, placing second overall in the 400 meters with a time of 55.39. She also placed fifth in the 200 meters at 25.13.
> In the triple jump, Obiamaka Igwenagu placed second with a leap of 12.30 meters (40-4.25). Inara Shell placed fourth at 11.93 meters (39-1.75) and also came in fourth in the long jump at 5.59 meters (18-4.25).
> Cierra Crane led the way in the pole vault, clearing 3.60 meters (11-9.75) to place second.
> In the high jump, Amira Green placed fifth at 1.63 meters (5-4.25) and Nicole Castor came in seventh at 1.58 meters (5-2.25).
> Nya Browne set a new personal record in the 100 meters, placing ninth with a time of 12.47. She also placed 12th in the 200 meters with a time of 25.39.
> In the 800 meters, Dominyka Petraskaite placed 15th with a time of 2:18.23.
