Women’s Track & Field Heads to Garden State for Larry Ellis Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. — The Temple Women's Track & Field program is set to continue its outdoor season at the Larry Ellis Invitational this weekend in Princeton, New Jersey.
The two-day meet at Weaver Stadium is hosted by Princeton and will take place on April 12-13.
Last Time Out
> Temple remained close to home, competing at the Penn Invitational at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. The Owls tallied six top-10 finishes on the day.
> Inara Shell hauled in a new outdoor personal record in the long jump, leaping 5.88 meters (19-3.5) to place second overall in the event.
> Temple's high jump duo of Amira Green and Nicole Castor took top-10 placements once again. Green led the way with a third-place finish at 1.65 meters (5-05) and Castor placed seventh at 1.60 meters (5-03).
> In the pole vault, Cierra Crane tied an outdoor personal record with a height of 3.81 meters (12-06) to place fourth. Aliza White Vega also tied an outdoor personal record at 3.66 meters (12-0) to place seventh.
Previewing the Owls
> Temple's long/triple jump combo of Inara Shell and Obiamaka Igwenagu will compete in their regularly scheduled events. The same goes for Temple's high jump duo of Amira Green and Nicole Castor.
> In pole vault, Cierra Crane, Aliza White Vega, and Reece Sullivan will compete for the Owls.
> In the sprints, Allyson Metzger and Nye Browne will take the track for the 100 meters. Browne will also compete in the 100-meter hurdles, while Metzger will add the 200-meter sprint to her schedule. Jade Pope and Laila Cottom will represent the Cherry & White in the 400 meters.
> In the middle distance, Eyota Bey and Dominyka Petraskaite will compete in the 800 meters.
> Petraskaite and Delilah Ayan will both race the 1,500 meters. Elsa Chan will race the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
> Temple's 4x400 meter relay team will consist of Petraskaite, Cotton, Pope, and Bey.
