PHILADELPHIA – The Temple University men's basketball team continues to build its 2024-25 roster, announcing the addition of Jameel Brown on Friday.

"We are very excited to welcome Jameel Brown and his family to Temple! He brings great experience from the Big Ten and has been a winner everywhere he has been," said head coach Adam Fisher. "Jameel can really help space the floor and brings great length and activity on the defensive end. We are very excited to bring Jameel back home to Philadelphia!"

Brown appeared in 41 games in the last two seasons with Penn State. He posted four games of 10 or more points four times last year, including a career-high 20 against Delaware State in the season opener. He netted 14 points in 16 minutes, going 4-for-5 from beyond the arc at Indiana on February 3.

"I chose to play at Temple because this is the best place for me to develop on and off the court for the better," said Brown. "Knowing the history of Temple basketball and how it positively affected so many players lives was intriguing to me. Having a coaching staff that will push me to be the best of my abilities was crucial in making my decision on coming to Temple!"

A two-time All-State selection, Brown was the No. 6 recruit in Pennsylvania and a national top-175 prospect from the Westtown School. He was a finalist for Pennsylvania Mr. Basketball as a senior when he averaged 15 points, six rebounds, four assists and connected on 65 three-pointers as a senior.
