The Owls Return to The Ott Center for Quaker Invitational

PHILADELPHIA — Temple women's track and field heads back to The Ott Center for their third indoor competition of the season, for the Quaker Invitational. The Owls will face off against 11 teams from across the tri-state area, including six teams they've previously competed against.
The two-day meet kicks off Friday at 2:00 p.m. with the multi-events. Field events will begin on Saturday at 11:30 a.m., followed by running events starting at 1:30 p.m.

Previewing the Owls
>Temple had a strong showing in last weekend's competition, setting three personal bests and two season bests. Sophomore Nya Browne has impressed with four personal bests in just two meets.
> A total of 22 Owls will compete this weekend. Distance runners Amelia Sabatino, Emma-Kate Watt, and Jillian Wolk will make their indoor season debuts in the 3000 meters.
> Six Temple athletes will compete in the jumps: Sadie Dixon (high jump), Amira Green (high jump), Reagan Schwartz (long jump, triple jump), Deja Scott (long jump), Reece Sullivan (pole vault), and Aliza White Vega (pole vault).
>The Owls will not participate in the throwing or multi-events at this meet.
>In the sprints, Siani Brown-Carr, Allyson Metzger, and Lila Ziegler will compete in the 60-meter dash. Nya Browne will race alone in the 60-meter hurdles. Browne, Metzger, Ziegler, and Mariah Jameson will also race in the 200-meter dash.
> The same five freshmen from last week will be running the open 400 meters.
> Laila Cottom, Maya Gomes and Chloe Smith will race in the 500 meters.
> Temple will close out the competition with two 4x400 meter relay teams.

The Owls will travel to New York City for the Dr. Sander Invitational at the New York Armory on Friday, January 24th.
