Temple Women's Track and Field Sets Personal Bests at Quaker Invitational

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's track and field had another strong showing at the Quaker Invitational this weekend, setting four personal bests across 10 events. Despite battling injuries, 16 of the 22 athletes competed in their respective events.
Results:
> Nya Browne led the Owls, winning the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.53. She also placed fifth in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 24.68.
> Allyson Metzger took 13th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.89.
> Freshman Mariah Jameson finished 12th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.43.
> In the open 400, freshmen Grace Hickman, Maliah Powell, and Dicia Watkins represented the Owls. Hickman broke a minute, finishing 10th with a personal best of 59.85, Powell placed 19th with 1:01.32, and Watkins was 24th with a time of 1:06.34.
> Laila Cottom ran a personal best of 1:17.65 in the 500 meters, finishing 9th, while Chloe Smith followed closely in 10th with a time of 1:17.83. Maya Gomes finished 16th with a time of 1:21.32.
> In the 3000 meters, Amelia Sabatino placed 19th with a time of 10:40.94, and Emma-Kate Watt set a personal best with 10:48.23, finishing 22nd.
> Amira Green cleared 1.67 meters to place 3rd in the high jump.
> In the pole vault, Aliza White Vega set a season's best with a 3.80-meter clearance, while teammate Reece Sullivan set a personal best with a 3.35-meter vault.
> Reagan Schwartz placed 10th in the triple jump with a personal best of 11.60 meters.
