Fencing's Del Cura Competes on First Day of NAC
1.3.25 | Women's Fencing
KANSAS CITY, MO - Temple Fencing opened their weekend at the January North American Cup Friday, with freshman Jara Del Cura representing the Cherry and White in Div I Women's Foil.Â
WHAT HEAD COACH JENNIE SALMON SAID
"I am very pleased with Jara's performance today. It was a significant improvement from the Division 1 event in October. Her 3-2 pool performance was impressive. It included an overtime win and a defeat of a 2024 cadet world bronze medalist. Her direct elimination was also extremely well fenced with strong execution. The tactical and technical lessons learned will be very valuable as we head into the meat of our regular season."

UP NEXT
Temple will return to NAC competition on Saturday, with Lauren Johnson and Eva Ventura set to compete in the Div I Women's Saber event.
