Rieger Honored by BIG EAST for Fourth Time in 2025

NEW YORK – After recording a goal and an assist against Penn on Sunday afternoon, the BIG EAST Conference announced Monday that Temple University field hockey senior Peyton Rieger was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Rieger opened the scoring with her eighth goal of the season in the first quarter against the Quakers and later assisted on Temple's final goal as the Owls mounted a late rally in a 3-2 setback at Howarth Field.
The Woolwich, New Jersey, native now has eight goals and seven assists for 23 points this season. Her 23 points are the most by an Owl since 2015, when Alyssa Delp totaled 37 points on 16 goals and five assists.
Rieger has now earned five conference honors in 2025, including two BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week selections and three appearances on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Temple returns to action Friday at 3 p.m. against nationally ranked Liberty before hosting Yale on Senior Day at noon Sunday.
