Lucia Magro Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – After scoring both of Temple's goals in a 3-2 shootout loss to No. 7 Liberty, the BIG EAST Conference announced that freshman midfielder/forward Lucia Magro has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Magro twice tied the contest, first evening the score at 1-1 in the opening quarter on a penalty stroke and later knotting it at 2-2 with her seventh goal of the season in the fourth quarter to force overtime.
The Buenos Aires, Argentina, native now has seven goals and two assists for 16 points entering Friday's season finale. Her 16 points are the most by a Temple freshman since Alyssa Delp recorded 18 points on nine goals during the 2012 season. She has now been recognized by the BIG EAST four times this fall, earning Freshman of the Week honors twice and Weekly Honor Roll distinction twice.
Magro and the Owls wrap up the 2025 slate on Friday at Providence. Game time is set for 2 p.m. in the Ocean State.
