Temple Track & Field Heads to the Widener Indoor Classic

PHILADELPHIA- Temple women's track and field returns to the Ott Center for the Indoor Classic at Penn, hosted by Widener University. The Owls will compete against local schools from across the tri-state area.

Previewing the Owls
> For the jump events six athletes will represent Temple. Aliza White Vega and Reece Sullivan in the pole vault. Deja Scott, Reagan Schwartz and Olabisi Adams in the long jump. Schwartz will also compete in the triple jump. Amira Green will be the sole Owl in the high jump.
> Allyson Metzger will race in the 60 meters and 200 meters. Nya Browne and Chloe Smith will accompany Metzger in the 200 meters. Browne and Smith will also race in the 60 meter hurdles.
> The freshmans will continue to race in the open 400 meters, alongside senior Jade Pope, and teammates Grace Hickman, Jayla Green, Maliah Powell, and Mariah Jameson.
> Maya Gomes will race in her second 800 meters of the season.
> In the distance events, Amelia Sabatino and Emma-Kate Watt will compete in the 5,000 meters.

The Owls will begin their postseason running making their way to Birmingham, Alabama for the AAC Indoor Track & Field Championships on February 28th-March 1st. Both competition days will be streamed live on ESPN+.
