Women's Tennis to Face Rider on the Road, NJIT at Home

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The Owls hits the road to face Rider University on Tuesday, April 1, at 2:00 p.m. in Lawrenceville, N.J. Women's tennis will then return to Philadelphia for a matchup against New Jersey Institute of Technology on Friday, April 4, at 11:00 a.m.

SCOUTING TEMPLE
- Temple set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles courts against Siena, with Thamara Kawaratani and Marianthi Christoforidou securing a key 6-2 win at No. 1.
- The Owls carried their momentum into singles, winning all six matches, highlighted by Irmak Ozturk's gritty 6-4, 7-5 victory at No. 1 and Kelly Richter's comeback win at No. 2.
- With this commanding win, Temple snapped a three-match losing streak and looks to build on the momentum moving forward
SCOUTING RIDER
- At the match against Quinnipiac University, Rider's Maria Buss and Chloe Monachelli secured a dominant 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles. Still, the Bobcats took the doubles point with wins at the top two spots.
- Despite a 7-0 final score, Rider fought in singles, with Buss and Claire Brown pushing their matches to third-set tiebreaks before ultimately falling.
- The defeat marked Rider's first MAAC loss of the season, bringing their record to 7-9 (3-1 MAAC), while Quinnipiac remained unbeaten in league play.
SCOUTING NJIT
- NJIT remained undefeated at home (8-0) with a 4-1 victory over LIU, improving to 10-4 overall.
- The Highlanders secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3, continuing their solid performances in doubles competition.
- NJIT won three singles matches, with Paula Menendez Alvarez earning a straight-set victory at No. 1 and Petra Koszo sealing the win at No. 6 after an LIU withdrawal.
