Women’s Track and Field Heads to Tampa for USF Invitational

PHILADELPHIA - Women's track and field travels to Tampa Florida for the South Florida Invitational, hosted by The University of South Florida, set to take place this weekend from April. 11-12. Fourteen Owls will wear the Cherry & White to compete in 10 events over the course of two days.
Last Time Out
> Temple women's track and field claimed 15 top 10 finishes at the Sam Howell Invitational.The Owls showcased their talent against seven schools across neighboring states.
> Reagan Schwartz placed the highest for the Owls in the long jump, leaping a season's best 5.50 meters finishing fifth, Schwartz claimed the triple jump, in 11.92 meters.
> Nya Browne ran a personal best 12.25 in the 100 meters placing 3rd.
> To begin the meet, Aliza White Vega and Reece Sullivan placed 2nd and 3rd in the pole vault both clearing 3.65 meters.
Previewing the Owls
> In the 100m hurdles, Nya Browne will be representing the Owls, while she will also compete in the 200m alongside Allyson Metzger and Jade Pope. Metzger will be the lone Owls in the 100m.
> In the 400m, Mariah Jameson will represent the Cherry & White. She'll return for the 4x400m relay with teammates Nya Browne, Allyson Metzger, Jade Pope, and Chloe Smith. Smith will also compete in the 400m hurdles.
> The 800m will be contested by both Laila Cottom and Maya Gomes.
> In the field events, Amira Green will represent in the high jump, while Reece Sullivan and Aliza White Vega will take on the pole vault.
> The long jump and triple jump will be covered by Shalisha Robertson, who will compete in both events. She'll be joined in the triple jump by Reagan Schwartz and Inara Shell.
