Temple Heads the Oldest Track & Field Competition the Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's track and field will head to UPenn for the 2025 Penn Relays. The Owls are set to compete in three relays and four open events over the course of two days.Â
Last Time Out
> Temple women's track and field competed at the Virginia Challenge, hosted by UVA last weekend.
> Amira Green cleared 1.70 meters in the high jump to finish 10th. Mariah Jameson ran 56.10 in the 400-meter dash. In the 100 meter hurdle, Nya Browne ran 14.06 to finish 19th.Â
> The quartet ran a season's best 3:50.19 in the 1600-meter relay to place 12th.Â
Previewing the Owls
> The 4x200 meter relay will pull from a pool of athletes: Nya Browne, Mariah Jameson, Allyson Metzger, Jayla Green, Shalisha Robertson and Jade Pope.
> In the 4x400 meter relay, Laila Cottom, Mariah Jameson, Jayla Green, Allyson Metzger, Jade Pope, and Chloe Smith are scheduled to run.
> Nya Browne is entered to compete in the 100 meter hurdles.
> In the field events, Amira Green is set to participate in the high jump. In the triple jump, Reagan Schwartz is competing in the college sections, and Inara Shell enters in the championship section. Aliza White Vega is slated to compete in the pole vault.

The Owls will head to Princeton for the second time this season for the Larry Ellis Meet at Lannigan Field Friday May 2nd and Saturday May 3rd.
