Confidence is High as Women's Track and Field Heads Into the Penn Invitational

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University's women's indoor track and field team is set to compete this Friday, Jan. 30 at the Penn Invitational. This meet will be held at the Ott Center located in South Philadelphia and is hosted by Penn. The jumping events will commence at 12:00 p.m. followed by the running events at 2:00 p.m. The meet will air live on ESPN+.

Previewing The Owls

There will be a total of 21 athletes representing Temple this Friday across 11 events.
Competing in the jumps is Emelie Beckman (pole vault), Smilla Ranebro (high jump and triple jump), Kamryn Ohm (pole vault), Shalisha Robertson (triple jump and long jump), Reagan Schwartz (triple jump), Deja Scott (triple jump), Inara Shell (long jump), and Reece Sullivan (pole vault).
Janae Pettaway and Lila Ziegler will all race in the 60m dash.
Competing in the 60mH are Zayniah Ali and Aly Doyle.
Running in the 200m is Ali, Mariah Jameson, and Ziegler.
The 400m will consist of Briyel Brown, Kei-Mahri Hanna, Grace Hickman, Chloe Smith, and Dicia Watkins.
Representing Temple in the 800m race is Jayla Green, Reese Morgan, and Brooke Shellenberger.
Morgan and Shellenberger will also be running in the mile.
Temple will have five athletes competing in the final event, the 4x400m relay, and they are Brown, Green, Hickman, Smith, and Watkins.
