Temple Opens 2026 Season at Home Against Delaware

PHILADELPHIA- Temple women's lacrosse opens the 2026 season Friday, Feb. 6 at 3 pm at Howarth Field against the University of Delaware. The Owls were picked to finish fifth in the 2026 American Preseason Coaches Poll, while seniors Kat Bielinski and Sabrina Martin, along with graduate student Amelia Wright, earned spots on the American Preseason All-Conference Team.

OWLS IN THE NEST

The Owls are set to return two second team all conference players, Kat Bielinski and Sabrina Martin. Last season, Bielinski started all 16 games, she led the Owls with 35 ground balls (third in the American) and forced 17 turnovers, including four multi-caused turnover games.
Martin started all 16 games, she totaled 21 goals, seven assists, and 28 points, led the team in caused turnovers (20) and draw controls (69), and ranked among the top players in the American in all three categories.
Wright finished third on the team in goals (21) and points (28) despite playing only eight games due to injury. She led the team in goals per game (2.75) and opened the season with 11 goals in the first two contests.
Nine newcomers join the Owls this season, representing the East Coast from New York through North Carolina.

SCOUTING DELAWARE

Delaware finished the 2025 season with a 10–6 overall record, going 6–2 in conference play and advancing to the CAA Tournament.
The Temple versus Delaware matchup dates back to 1978, with Temple holding a 21–18 advantage in the all-time series.
