Owls Set Multiple Personal Records in Happy Valley

STATE COLLEGE - Temple University's women's track & field team competed today at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge hosted by Penn State. Emelie Beckman placed second in the pole vault after setting a new personal record of 4.10m (13'-5.25"), tying the program record previously set by Allie Riches in 2023.
Results
The Owls will send their distance athletes to the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University, on Feb. 13–14. The remainder of the team will compete at the Widener Indoor Classic held at the Ott Center on Feb. 14.
Results
- Rose Tuomisto posted two new personal records, the first was in the 1,000m with a time of 3:03.12. The other was in the mile where she placed third out of 22 athletes with a time of 4:59.32.
- Reece Sullivan cleared the bar at a height of 3.60m (11'-9.75") to put her in eighth place among a field of 19 competitors. Â
- Inara Shell placed 14th out of 26 athletes in the long jump with a distance of 5.38m (17'-8").
- Aly Doyle placed fifth in the 60m hurdles final with a time of 8.67. During the prelims she set a new personal record with a time of 8.64.Â
- Reagan Schwartz finished fifth out of 12 competitors in the triple jump with a mark of 11.67m (38'-3.5").Â
- Kei-Mahri Hanna came across the line in the 400m with a time of 55.96, setting a new personal record for the freshman. Giving her third place out of 43 athletes. Mariah Jameson (56.79) and Chloe Smith (56.95) placed fifth and sixth respectively. Grace Hickman ended with a time of 58.05 to give her 17th in the event.Â
- Jayla Green clocked in with a time of 1:40.05 in the 600m to give her seventh place.
- Laila Cottom competed in the 800m and took home fourth with a time of 2:15.62. Setting a new personal record for the junior.
- Lila Ziegler (25.82), Zayniah Ali (26.05), and Janae Pettaway (26.23) all ran in the 200m. Both Ali and Pettaway set new personal records.Â
- The 4x400m relay team of Hanna, Jameson, Hickman, and Smith finished third out of 10 teams with a time of 3:50.03.Â
