Temple Gymnastics Concludes Regular Season at George Washington Quad-Meet

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Temple Owls posted a 194.675 for a third-place finish at the George Washington Quad Meet. The Cherry and White finished with a season-high performance on the vault with a 48.925 that included a career-high 9.875 from junior Amelia Budd.

Rotation 1 (BARS: 48.625)

  • Temple's Robyn Dunne came to play in Sunday's quad meet at George Washington. The sophomore set a new career-high on bars with her 9.875. This also marks the highest bars score of the season for an Owl.
  • Reese DeHaan, Ava Sutphen, and Megan White provided consistency in the rotation with each person scoring a 9.700 on their respective routine.
  • Sutphen has posted a 9.700 or higher on bars each of the last three times she's competed.

Rotation 2 (BEAM: 48.650)

  • Consistency was the name of the game for Temple in rotation two. Hailey Best, Mariella Brueck, Ella Beck, and Megan White all scored a 9.700 on the beam in Sunday's meet.
  • Dunne got the team-high on the beam with her 9.850. In three of the last four meets, Dunne has posted a 9.850 or higher three times.

Rotation 3 (FLOOR: 48.475)

  • Junior Kyrstin Johnson has been a solid contributor on the floor over the past few weeks. In Sunday's meet she put up a team-high 9.775, her second-highest score of the season.
  • Dunne remained consistent for Temple on the floor and finished with a 9.750, also her second-highest score of the season.
  • Freshman Brooklyn Thomas scored a 9.725 for her ninth score on floor this season of at least a 9.725.

Rotation 4 (VAULT: 48.925)

  • The Owls finished the afternoon with a season-high vault performance as a team scoring a 48.925.
  • Jade Harden kicked off the run for the Owls and posted a 9.800, her second-highest score of the season.
  • Nikki Rengifo tied her career-high today and finished with a 9.850 on the vault to help Temple get that season-high team score on the event.
  • In the anchor position, Amelia Budd finished with a new career-high 9.875. This is Budd's sixth score this season of a 9.800 or higher.

UP NEXT
Temple will wrap up the 2026 season at EAGL Championships hosted by the LIU Sharks in Brookville, N.Y. on Saturday, March 21 at 5:00 pm. Temple will compete alongside George Washington, Long Island, New Hampshire, and Towson for the crown. George Washington comes into the meet as the defending champion, but the New Hampshire Wildcats have taken the title as regular season champion in 2026.
