Track & Field Back in Action as Sam Howell Invitational Awaits This Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – Temple University's women's track and field team is set to compete in the Sam Howell Invitational this Saturday at Weaver Stadium in Princeton, N.J. Temple will have 20 athletes representing the Cherry & White across 11 events. The running events will start at 8:00 a.m. while the field events will commence at 10:00 a.m.

Previewing the Owls

Competing in the field events is Kamryn Ohm (pole vault), Deja Scott (triple jump), Inara Shell (long jump), and Reece Sullivan (pole vault).
The 100m dash will consist of Kenya Merritt, Janae Pettaway, Scott, and Lila Ziegler.
Running in the 200m dash is Merritt, Pettaway, and Ziegler.
Grace Hickman, Mariah Jameson, and Maliah Powell will be competing in the 400m race.
Dicia Watkins will be the only Temple athlete to run in the 400m hurdles.
Representing the Cherry & White in the 800m dash will be Laila Cottom, Emilie Creighton, Maya Gomes, Jayla Green, Rian Johnson, Brooke Shellenberger, and Dagny Shiffler.
The 4x400m relay will consist of Cottom, Gomes, Green, Hickman, Jameson, Merritt, and Powell.
Creighton, Johnson, and Shiffler will all compete in the 1500m race.
The final event of the meet is the 5000m race and participating in that is Amelia Sabatino and Rose Tuomisto.
