Track & Field Carries Momentum into Split Weekend

PHILADELPHIA – Temple University's women's outdoor track and field team will be competing in the Bison Classic and the South Florida Invite this Saturday, Apr. 11. There will be five athletes traveling to Lewsiburg, Pa., while another 12 athletes head south to Tampa, Fla. In total, Temple will be competing in ten different events over the weekend.

The Owls will travel to Charlottesville, Va. for the Virginia Classic on Apr. 17-18.

- Competing in the 800m dash will be Emilie Creighton, Maya Gomes, and Dagny Shiffler
- Running in the 1500m race is Rian Johnson, Shiffler, and Rose Tuomisto.
- Competing in the field events is Kamryn Ohm (pole vault), Smilla Ranebro (high jump), Reagan Schwartz (triple jump), Deja Scott (triple jump), Inara Shell (triple jump), and Reece Sullivan (pole vault).
- Running in the 100m dash is Ohm and Lila Ziegler.
- The 200m dash will consist of Mariah Jameson and Ziegler.
- Grace Hickman and Jameson will both represent Temple in the 400m dash.
- Laila Cottom will be the only athlete in Cherry & White to compete in the 800m race.
- The 400m hurdles will feature Chloe Smith and Dicia Watkins.
- Temple will send Cottom, Hickman, Jameson, Smith, and Watkins to compete in the 4x400m relay.
The Owls will travel to Charlottesville, Va. for the Virginia Classic on Apr. 17-18.
