2023:Â Ran in six meets . . . Earned a pair of top five finishes, including the Temple Owls Invitational 6K where he finished fourth with a time of 19:23.50 and the Pirate Invite 8K with a personal time of 23:53.20, also finishing fourth. . . Improved from his 52nd place finish in 2022 to 26th in 2023 at the Harry Grove Spiked Shoe Invitational as he finished with a personal best time of 26:27.60 in the 5.2 miles. . . Finished the 8K NCAA Regional where he finished with a time of 30:54.60, finishing 74th of 183 runners.
2022: Represented Temple in all six meets…Earned 6th place in season opening meet at Lehigh Invitational and 5th in Fordham Fiasco the following week…52nd at Penn State National Open…Placed second among the Owls in 19th at AAC Championships.
2021:Â Ran to a time of 32:16.2 at the Mid-Atlantic Regional... Placed 39th with a season-best time of 25:22.4 at the Princeton Invite.
High School: Three-time Nebraska State Champion... Was the state, district, conference and city champion his senior year... Named the 2019-20 and 2020-21 Nebraska Boys Cross Country Gatorade Player of the Year.
Personal: Born in an Ethiopian refugee camp before growing up in South Sudan and Uganda... Was adopted by his older sister, Nyanthiay Chot, who helped move Liem and his two older brother from Africa to the United States in 2013... Intends to major in Exercise Science at TU.
