Dayton, Ohio-Temple volleyball suffered its second loss in A-10 play, falling 3-1 (25-16, 21-25, 18-25, 23,25) to Dayton on Friday evening.
Junior Yun Yi Zhang led the Owls with a double-double of 19 kills and 11 digs. Defensive specialist Ariel Pierre had a team-high 15 digs, while Caitlin Loudon had 11 digs. Jackie Morrison dished 32 assists, while earning five blocks. Jacqueline Cowden also had five blocks.
Temple used a .400 hitting percentage in set one to put away the Flyers, who had just a .030 hitting percentage. Dayton wasn't quiet for long, however, as it went on to win the next three sets to take the match, 3-1.
Temple returns to action tomorrow, traveling to Xavier at 5 p.m.
