Fifth place overall finish best in school history, May becomes first-ever male All-Conference honoree
May becomes the first male cross country runner in school history to garner such honors.
Four top-25 finishes aided the team’s overall performance. Sophomore Eddie Penatar (21st), sophomore Travis Mahoney (23rd) and senior Adin Mickle (24th) all ran the hill-and-dale in excellent times. Rounding out the Owls’ five competitors was junior Eric Conklin in 44th place.
“For the team to compete this well was huge for our program,” commented head coach Eric Mobley. “Having four runners in the top-25 was a big improvement from last year, and very much meets our goal of continually improving our finishes.”
