Charise Young Named to Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team

PHILADELPHIA – Temple field hockey senior Charise Young was named to the 2009 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Field Hockey Team. The team, consisting of 14 student-athletes, is voted on by the sports information offices of the 28 area institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Young, a secondary education/social studies major, has a 3.97 grade-point-average and has earned numerous other awards this season including the title of 2009 Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Student-Athlete of the Year. She took that title for the second straight year, and also earned A-10 First Team honors for the second straight year.
