Bridget Settles Named Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Co-Performer of the Week

Settles has helped lead Temple to a 4-0 record so far this season
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Temple's Bridget Settles and Richmond's Kaitlin Peterson each netted three goals and two assists in two games in a week that saw their respective teams go undefeated. For their performances, Settles and Peterson represent the Atlantic 10 Conference as field hockey Co-Performers of the Week.
Settles, a junior forward, was the Owls' leading scorer last week, tallying two second-half goals in Temple's 7-0 win over St. Francis (PA) and netting a third goal in her squad's 2-0 victory over Georgetown.
Her second of two assists came on the Owls' game-winning goal against Georgetown, earning her eight points on the week. The Haddon Township, N.J., native currently leads the conference in points (10), is averaging 2.5 points per game and is tied for first in the league in goals (4).
Temple is 4-0 overall, its best starting record since the 2001 team went 4-0. No Temple team has started with a 5-0 record since 1983.
Next up for the Owls is a home contest on Friday, Sept. 10 at 4:00 p.m. against Lafayette.
