PHILADELPHIA - After a dominating sweep of North Carolina Central to open the season, the Temple baseball team looks to continue its win streak with a trip to High Point this weekend (Feb. 25-27). The Owls (3-0) open their three-game set in High Point (0-5) on Friday, with first pitch slated for 4:00 p.m.
Senior Ben White (1-0, 6.00 ERA, 7 K) secured the Owls first opening day win since 2004 with a 18-5 decision over North Carolina Central last Friday. White, who will start game one in High Point this weekend, struck out seven over 6.0 innings of work to earn the win.

On Sunday, freshman Matt Hockenberry (1-0, 2.70 ERA, .286 opp/ba) will take the hill for the Owls. Hockenberry, the reigning Philadelphia Big 5 Pitcher of the Week, earned his first collegiate win to help Temple to a series sweep of NCCU.

Seven Owls left Durham with six or more hits, led by eight apiece from seniors Adrian Perez (8-18, .444, 3 2B) and Byron McKoy (8-17, .471, 2 2B).
