Bridget Settles Earns Atlantic 10 Player of the Week Honors

Senior notched her second hat trick of the season in a win vs. Kent State

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Temple's Bridget Settles scored her second hat trick of the season while La Salle freshman Maddy Tettelbach netted three goals and an assist this week, earning the Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively.

Settles, a First Team All-Conference honoree in 2010, scored her second hat trick of the season, including the game-winner, to lead the Owls to a 4-3 overtime win over Kent State. The senior forward leads Temple with eight of its 12 goals this season. Additionally, Settles tallied an assist in her squad's 4-2 loss to Lafayette.

Tettelbach, the reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week, scored a goal in each of the Explorer's three games last week including her squad's only goal in a 3-1 loss to Villanova. The forward from Fairfax Station, Va., also tallied an assist in La Salle's 6-0 victory over Siena and leads her team with 6 goals on the season.
