BIG EAST Weekly Release (Oct. 28)

PHILADELPHIA - For the second time this season, Temple junior Amber Youtz has been named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week. Youtz posted three goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the #17 Owls, with one of those assists marking the 100th point of her career.

In a 5-1 win vs. Georgetown, Youtz scored twice and added an assist. In a 3-2 road win at Lafayette, she scored the first goal and assisted on the third tally, which would be the game-winner. Her efforts helped Temple win its third and fourth straight games.

Youtz currently leads all players in NCAA Division I in goals per game (1.14) and points per game (2.79). She is also moving up the ranks on the all-time career lists at Temple in only her junior year. With 103 career points, Youtz is tied with her former teammate Bridget Settles for fifth all-time, and with 42 goals she sits just behind Settles in career goals, ranking seventh all-time.
