FARMVILLE, Va. –
Before returning to Ambler to open the home schedule, Temple Baseball will get one last tune-up on the road, as it will visit the Longwood Lancers on Tuesday afternoon for its first midweek game of the season. The Owls, who have already played 11 straight games on the road to begin the season, will send left-handed pitcher Dan Moller out to the mound where he will be opposed by southpaw Blake Reanior right-hander Joe Manion. First pitch will be thrown at 4:00 p.m. The game can be tracked by clicking the live stats link above.

Temple, 3-8 on the year, is coming off a disappointing 1-2 weekend at UNC Asheville. The Owls suffered heartbreakers in the front and backend of the series, as Asheville found ways to charge back and walk off with wins in both games. On Saturday, the Owls showed their resiliency after a tough loss and got a strong outing from sophomore Eric Peterson and bounce-back effort from the bullpen, to carry the team to a 7-2 win.

Moller will start for the fourth time this season and will be in search of his first victory of the year.

Senior Henry Knabe comes into Tuesday owning a .429 batting average out of the cleanup spot to lead the team in hitting. His 15 hits is tied for the team-most  with sophomore Nick Lustrino, who is batting .417 on the year and is ranked 11th in the nation in on base percentage (.563). Lustrino has reached base in every game so far this season, as has senior Jordan Queja, who has an on ase streak of 15-straight games, going back to last year. The bulk of Temple's offense has been produced by junior Derek Peterson, who has knocked in 11 runs and has scored 10.

Longwood is 6-8 on the season following its 1-3 weekend at home against Canisius.  Through the team's first 14 games, Alex Owens is leading the Lancers with his .391 batting average, 13 runs batted in, 11 walks and  18 hits, which includes seven extra-base hits—two being home runs.

Reams is 2-1 on the year with a 4.50 ERA, while Manion is looking for his first win after an 0-2 start through four appearances.
