NORFOLK, Va. - The representatives of Temple field hockey that participated in the recent USA Field Hockey Women's National Championship came away with strong results after nearly a full week of competition. Graduate assistant coach Kelly Driscoll saw time in goal for the Pennsylvania High Performance Team which finished as runner-up in the tournament.

Rising junior Amber Youtz played for the New Jersey HP team that placed third, beating the Under-21 National Team twice and finishing with three wins, one tie and two losses. Temple head coach Amanda Janney was an assistant coach and team administrator for New Jersey.

Former Temple graduate assistant coach Jamie Whitten, who also played for New Jersey, was selected as a new member of the USA National Team. Whitten and seven others from the New Jersey HP site were selected for the national team.

Based on their strong play throughout the High Performance season, Youtz, rising junior Nicole Kroener and rising sophomore Alyssa Delp were all invited to the Under-21 Junior National Championship this coming June 20-25. Depending on their performance, any of the three could be invited to stay for the Junior National Camp, where the U-21 team will be selected for the upcoming Junior World Cup in Monchengladbach, Germany (July 27-Aug. 4).
