Men's Basketball Travels to #19/23 Cincinnati for 9 PM Tip-Off on Tuesday Night

PHILADELPHIA - Another nationally ranked opponent awaits Temple men's basketball in the Owls' next contest, as they travel to #19/23 Cincinnati (15-2, 4-0) for a 9:00 p.m. game on Tuesday, Jan. 14. The game will be televised by CBS Sports Network.
• The Owls (5-9, 0-4) have come up short in their last four games, but have lost those by an average of just six points per game.
• Temple is one of only three teams in Division I to have four players averaging 13 or more points per game, a feat that has never been achieved in program history.
• Dalton Pepper, tops the team in scoring (17.2 ppg, 5th AAC), three-pointers (2.6 pg, 2nd AAC) and 3-pt percentage (.430, 11th).
• Anthony Lee (13.9 ppg) continues to lead the conference in rebounding (9.4 rpg), and has six double-doubles on the season after scoring 22 points and adding 10 boards vs. USF.
• Quenton DeCosey (16.0 ppg), who has topped 20 points in 2 of the last 4 games, is the only Owl to have scored double figures in every game.
• Will Cummings ranks second on the team and fifth in the league with 16.1 ppg, and has scored in double figures in 12 of 14 games.
• Redshirt junior Jimmy McDonnell had a career night vs. USF, setting new highs in minutes (31), points (10), rebounds (5), assists (3).
• Temple is having one of its top offensive seasons, averaging 77.5 ppg, which would rank as the second-best offensive output in program history.
• Temple and Cincinnati are meeting for the 21st time, but first since 2006 when the Bearcats won 80-71 at the Atlantic City Lenape Trail Classic at Boardwalk Hall.
• The Owls had won three straight prior to the most recent meeting, with the Bearcats ranked #4, #11 and #1 in those contests.
• On Feb. 20, 2000, 15th-ranked Temple upset top-ranked Cincinnati by a score of 77-69 on the Bearcats' home court.
• #19/23 Cincinnati has won eight straight games, and is led by redshirt senior guard Sean Kilpatrick with 18.4 ppg and senior forward Justin Jackson with 11.5 ppg and 7.5 rpg.
