BOSTON - Members of Temple's men's track and field team competed over the past two days at Boston University's Terrier Invitational, with one of the Owls' field competitors earning a top 10 finish.
"The meet had a tremendous atmosphere," said Temple head coach Eric Mobley. "We saw two American records set. Both teams performed really well both days."
Senior Dylan Pensyl earned the men's team's best placement, taking sixth in the long jump with his mark of 6.69m. The jump was his best of the season, and he also ran a season-best time of 7.29 in the 60m dash. The meet was a strong one for Pensyl, who has returned from injury after being sidelined since 2012.
Freshman Joseph Ho placed 31st in the 60m hurdles prelims with his personal-best time of 8.75.
Near the end of the two-day meet, senior Will Kellar placed 41st in the 3,000m run with a personal-record time of 8:29.80. That event was won by former Temple All-American Travis Mahoney, running for the New Jersey-New York Track Club.
In the final collegiate event, junior Alex Izewski placed 46th in the 5,000m run in a time of 15:19.09.
