Season Opening Series for Baseball Changed

PHILADELPHIA – Due to expected thunderstorms in Wilson, N.C. on Friday, Temple baseball has adjusted the season opening series against Rider this weekend and added a game against UMass-Lowell.
The Owls will play their first game of the 2014 season against Rider on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. On Sunday, Temple will play a double header, starting at 10:00 a.m. against UMass-Lowell. After the first game, a second game will be played against Rider, starting 45 minutes after the completion of game one.
Temple originally was slated to play Rider in a three game series this weekend, starting on Friday at 2:00 p.m.
The 2014 season for Temple was supposed to start at North Carolina A&T last weekend, but was also cancelled due to the weather.
