CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The first day of the outdoor season is complete for Temple men's track & field, and the Owls had competitors in the 200m as well as in some of the field events at the Carolina Relays.
Freshman Adam Hasan was the top finisher of four Temple runners in the 200m, placing 10th in 22.53. Close behind was sophomore Jamal Williams in a personal-best time of 22.80 to place 14th. Junior Alimamy Kallay also recorded a personal-best, placing 18th in a time of 23.02.
Junior Evan Battalio placed ninth in the shot put (14.08m) and also competed in the discus.
Williams competed in the long jump in addition to the 200m, and placed eighth with a mark of 6.35m.
The action will continue all day Saturday with a full line-up of events, including the men's 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
