Field Hockey Announces Spring Schedule; Owls Host Philly City 6 Tournament on April 6

PHILADELPHIA - Temple field hockey has announced five total dates for the 2014 spring schedule, including the upcoming Philly City 6 Tournament which will be hosted by the Owls on Sunday, April 6.Â
Temple began its spring season on March 15 at Delaware, and will continue spring play with the City 6 Tournament featuring six college teams and six alumni teams. On April 12, the Owls will head to Princeton, and on April 19 they will play Penn State at The Nook in Lancaster, Pa.
The spring season will conclude for Temple on April 26 at Lafayette.

Saturday, March 15 - at Delaware (10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.)
Sunday, April 6 - Philly City 6 Tournament at Temple (10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
Saturday, April 12 - at Princeton (3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
Saturday, April 19 - at The Nook vs. Penn State (1:00 p.m.)
Saturday, April 26 - at Lafayette (10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.)
Temple finished at #17 in the final NCAA RPI rankings for the 2013 season after the Owls finished at 14-6 overall. The Owls earned the fourth seed in the BIG EAST Tournament, advancing to a conference tournament for the 11th year in a row. Temple was nationally-ranked for the last nine weeks of the season, entering the NFHCA Coaches Poll at #11 on Sept. 10, and earning a #19 ranking prior to its final game of the year.
