AMBLER, Pa. - Temple baseball (9-15, 4-5) is fresh off a 2-1 weekend with conference victories over Cincinnati and will look to pick up a non-conference win on Wednesday against Lehigh in the consolation round of the Liberty Bell Classic.  Temple originally played Lehigh on Wednesday, March 19th, but the game was cancelled due to rain.

Three players have started every game for the Owls this season.  Senior Derek Peterson leads the team in hits (26), including 13 doubles and one home run.  Senior Rob Amaro leads the team with 24 RBI.  Amaro has hit .291 so far this season with six doubles and two homeruns.

Jimmy Kerrigan is the lone underclassman to start every game.  Kerrigan has a .288 hitting average and is second on the team with 11 walks.  Michael D'Acunti leads the team with a .295 average (minimum of at least 30 at-bats).  D'Acunti had a hit in all four games last week with two RBI, a double, and a triple in the weekend series against Cincinnati.

Connor Statskey is the probable starter for today's game as he was scheduled to start against Monmouth yesterday before the game was cancelled.  This will be the first start of the season for Staskey as he has come out of the bullpen eight times this season for nine total innings pitched.

ABOUT LEHIGH…

Lehigh comes into the game with a 12-14, 3-4 record and have lost four of their past five games.

He has given up 28 hits in 29 innings pitched, striking out 19 while allowing only eight walks. Nick Cassell has recorded a team-leading three saves in nine appearances.  Cassell has 22 strikeouts in 22.2 innings pitched, walking only six.
