Lizzy Millen Earns Second BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week Honor

NEW YORK - For the second time already this season, Temple senior goalkeeper Lizzy Millen has been named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week. Millen also earned the honor back on Sept. 1 after the opening weekend of play.
Millen tied her career high with 17 saves at #3 Maryland on Sunday for an .864 saves percentage in a 3-0 loss for the #16 Owls. Additionally, Millen denied both shots faced in the first half against Delaware on Friday before exiting the game with a 5-0 lead.
For the season, Millen now ranks 13th among all goalkeepers in NCAA Division I with a saves percentage of .814. Her goals-against average of 1.56 ranks 23rd, and her saves per game average of 5.83 ranks 24th in the nation and first in the BIG EAST.
